In the most commonly known definition of the term, Los Angeles Resorts, are few in number. A resort is usually somewhere you would vacation where everything you would want to do is right there on the resort grounds. In Los Angeles, there aren't many that can have this claim - probably because most people coming to the city aren't looking to stay by the pool, or on the golf courses or beaches, they are coming to see at least some of the attractions that LA is famous for.

There are hotels which offer a wide variety of services, such as extensive spa treatments and sports facilities, but they also expect that guests will be going out of the hotel for entertainment and so "resort" isn't in their title. One resort that would be perfect for any couple who enjoy golf however would be the Pacific Palms Resort located 30 minutes out of downtown Los Angeles which boasts two championship golf courses amongst its features. This would be an ideal place for those who prefer to spend most of their time putting and chipping but with the opportunity of not being too far away from the shopping and sights should they want to venture out of the resort itself.

For anyone wanting to spend most of their vacation at one of the family theme parks of Disneyland or Knott's Berry Farm, then the Clarion Hotel Anaheim Resort would be a great choice. Although the attractions and entertainment are off-site, they are only a few blocks away. The Resort itself has a pool, sundeck, restaurants and even internet access in all rooms, and big screen televisions. There's also a games room for when the kids get restless after a day at the parks.

There aren't many Los Angeles resorts as such, but the accommodation that you will find in the Los Angeles area will still leave you lost for choice because of the amount of facilities, such as tennis courts, that ordinary hotels have on offer to please their guests and to try to attract them into returning another year!
